So much has been said about the origin of this celebration, so I believe it's timely to reflect and point out how the fruit of human intellect, put at the service of humanity, provides us with a better quality of life.

That accumulation of knowledge and experiences, driven by beings endowed with innovative talent manifested through creativity, has allowed humans to transform our environment, and now places us on the path of a new stage of our evolution, the digital revolution and artificial intelligence.

For Romero Pineda, it is of great importance to celebrate this World Intellectual Property Day, starting by recognizing that it is fundamental for the progress of society. I must point out that intellectual creations generate the impetus for economic, technological, and cultural development worldwide. Today, more than ever, it is crucial to recognize and value the importance of protecting and promoting Intellectual Property rights.

Celebrating this day gives us the opportunity to reflect on the fundamental role played by Intellectual Property rights in protecting ideas, inventions, artistic and cultural creations. The fruit of intellectual creations not only rewards the effort and creativity of their creators, but also fosters innovation and fair competition in markets.

During and after the pandemic, we have witnessed the significant impact of rights protected by Intellectual Property, promoting technology transfer, and facilitating collaboration between different sectors and countries. This contributes to creating a conducive environment for the development of new solutions and products that improve people's quality of life.
