By: Feridee Alabi, Litigation Manager and Consumer Protection Expert
The recent amendments to the Consumer Protection Law require e-commerce providers to register with the Consumer Protection Agency within 20 business days from the creation of their electronic platform.
Any updates, changes, or cessation of the website domain, as well as a change in ownership, must be registered with the Consumer Protection Agency within 10 business days. Changes in contact information must also be reported within this same timeframe.
