Virginia is part of the Intellectual Property Division of the firm since 2013, specifically the Regulatory Affairs Unit, which is responsible for verifying the legal and technical requirements of each product registration or update process; plans and coordinates activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards before regulatory entities; and monitors events affecting business operations.
It works closely with the National Drug Bureau in pre and post registration procedures for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, hygienic, chemicals products, medical devices, and facilities; with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is responsible for verifying veterinary products, both food and medicines and related, and agrochemicals, adjuvants, and others; and with the Ministry of Health coordinates registration of food, beverages, and alcoholic beverages
Within his professional experience, she is dedicated to advising product owners in all necessary areas to make their products available to the final consumer, seeking access to the population to high quality products, which meet health needs, food, and hygiene to raise the quality of life of Salvadorans.
Before joining the firm, she had 10 years of experience in consumer goods, served as coordinator of health registrations for internationally recognized laboratories.
Virginia studied Legal Sciences at the Central American University "José Simeón Cañas", UCA, also has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Francisco Gavidia University and a Specialization in Logistics and Operations from the same university. In addition, she holds certifications and diplomas in Regulatory Affairs and Life Sciences.
Currently she is a member of the Commerce and Investment Committee of the American Chambers of Commerce, AmCham, and several technical committees for the wording of Central American Technical Regulations and Salvadoran Technical Regulations through the Salvadoran Technical Regulation Agency (OSARTEC).
